Low Carbon Cold Room installed in Kenya

After two years of fantastic collaboration on the most inspiring project we have ever worked on, we are excited to see the report published by Efficiency for Access.

At Solar Cooling Engineering, we had the privilege of coordinating the design and installation of the low-carbon cold room, applying the SelfChill approach with solar powered thermal storage and, for the very first time, using biogenic materials for the cold cell! The result is a highly replicable solution that is optimised for local manufacturing, offering the lowest possible carbon footprint and cost.

This project exemplifies how purposeful visions can deliver innovative solar cooling solutions made in Africa.
